For 1990 the XR200R carried on as Honda's air-cooled 195 cc two-valve trail bike, essentially unchanged from 1989. The air-adjustable 36 mm fork and adjustable Showa Pro-Link shock gave it roughly ten inches of travel, and the tall 905 mm seat reflected its long-travel chassis. It remained a forgiving, simple machine aimed at trail riders and youngsters moving up from smaller XRs.
